Yes, that works. It installs and uses my prior pilot files.
There is an issue that I noticed on 22.04 as well: I can't resize the
jpilot window. This may be an ubuntu issue. There seems to be some
instability on 26.04 - every now and again - my session logs off -
presumably an x crash. And also I'm missing characters in popup
messages. Those are definitely not jpilot issues. But it tells me that
upgrade to 26.04 for prime time is not there yet.
Thanks for the pointers.

Resizing is sorted. There's a very subtle moment when the <-> appears
and I can drag the columns over. Wasn't at all obvious in dark mode.
That's not an issue. I'd say jpilot is go to go for ubuntu 26.04

I uploaded the Noble Debian packages to packagecloud for Resolute so
using the package cloud repository should work without hacks now.

HI,
I built some new jpilot and pilot-link debian packages. There are a lot
of code changes here, so I want to make sure it works before I commit
the code. If anyone wants to test it I uploaded it to proton drive for
now. I built it on Ubuntu 26.04, but it will probably work on 24.04 and
22.04.
Please report back.

I debated uploading it to packagecloud just so I could say I had the
packages out on launch day, but I backed away from that. My changes are
pretty big and I need to go through them again to make sure things look
good. I need to coordinate with David Desrosiers (the maintainer of
pilot-link) on accepting my changes. J-Pilot and pilot-link need to be
tested, mostly pilot-link because it had more drastic changes.
I can use help reviewing the code. I can use help testing. I do not
have a working Palm at the moment and its possible I broke pilot-link.
I could upload the packages to the website or somewhere if someone wants
to test it. As usual, there is no obligation. I'll get through it.
Hi all,
as you know, I had / have a Palm Treo 650 / 680 in my daily use and I did some bugfixes to pilot-link and a few to J-Pilot.
There are severe bugs in pilot-link and its CLI tool x-fer which make it impossible to sync files, also in conjunction with J-Pilot.
The biggest problem is, that pilot-link was created, as C int values were defined as 16 bit and long int as 32 bit.
I have tested my fixes with my devices, and they work. They are published as pull requests on the project sites of pilot-link and J-Pilot.
I would be happy, if you could integrate them.
I also can offer to test your changes with my real devices.

I fixed a few things in the packaging and added back the Python support
with Python3. I bumped the version to 0.13.1-2 and uploaded the new
packages the same place at

Seems to install OK. The help screen seems misleading in terms of
compile dates and version numbers, but synapic shows the versions I
