According the Nextcloud webpage https://nextcloud.com/files/:
Deep integration

Access data from FTP, Windows Network Drive, SharePoint, NFS, Object
storage, …
Simple configuration and integration lower costs and decrease risk while
leveraging existing IT investments.
I.e., having your J-Pilot files (*.pdb + *.pc3 + etc.) "somewhere" should
be enough to have them stored on Nextcloud. For example via NFS.

This syncing is only for the J-Pilot files. It is in no way a syncing to
your Palm device.

Via the environment variable $JPILOT_HOME you can store your J-Pilot files
almost anywhere.

how would you suggest to do this?

Hello Mr. Bissonnette,

I do not fully understand the requirement: the J-Pilot files, s. /1/,
can be sync'ed with "Nextcloud Files", s. /2/, similar to Google
Drive.

Or do you mean to directly sync from your handheld a la HotSync?

Thanks,

Elmar Klausmeier.

Sorry I missed this reply

Please explain "

the J-Pilot files, s. /1/,

"

How can they be synced?

Thanks Elmar

The USB sync port works quite well with the Palm Tx

Storing my Jpilot files is no issue.  I already have a backup system for
them.

When I add or change a contact or an appointment in my "smartphone" it
is now synchronized to my tablet, also synced to Thunderbird on the
laptop and the desktop. I would like that is also automatically added to
Jpilot. Then I can sync Jpilot to my Tx over the USB port. without
having without having to manually add or change anything in Jpilot.

kOrganizer and kAddressBook can be sync’d with Nextcloud.
kPilot will sync your TX with kOrganizer and kAddressBook.
But it’s old stuff, it won’t be easy to get installed on a modern distro.
I’d start by experimenting with this:
https://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/discontinued/distribution/10.3/iso/dvd/
